I would like to introduce you, to the natural world that I know. This is nature as I see it. These photographs arise from my deep passion for this land. I hope to show you the amazing, beautiful and powerful forces that surround us.
The current state of technology (i.e. – digital photography) allows us to overcome many of the technical challenges that confounded ways of communicating our experiences through photography in the past.
My process involves attention to detail in my field technique, along with work in the digital darkroom in an attempt to better present to you the experience I felt in being there myself. To this point, I believe a great photograph is not merely documenting the scene before us, it is about fusing the essential vision of the artist with the landscape.
